WASHINGTON, 21 February 2010 — This is one of the winners of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) Northern Short Course Photojournalism Contest that I helped judge yesterday, Saturday 20 February.
The competition was held at American University’s School of Communication.
We saw some terrific work produced by amateurs and professionals practicing a craft that, like so many other facets of journalism, is undergoing a difficult period of transition.
