Back to “Wait for Me”

Bill at Managua dump 1987

WASHINGTON, DC, 4 September 2022 — After a summer of professional and personal endeavors, I’m back posting brief sections of the audio version of my memoir, “Wait for Me: True Stories of War, Love and Rock & Roll.”

I think it makes sense to begin with the book’s “Author’s Note,” in which I discuss the origins and the intentions of the book.

Regarding this picture, that’s me in 1987 talking with poor Nicaraguans living around the massive dump of Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. This must have been when I was working on my book of photographs, a glimpse of which you can see here: https://www.amazon.com/Nicaragua-Wf-Gentile-1989-10-04/dp/B01K0UDL6E/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Nicaragua+William+Frank+Gentile&qid=1624118167&sr=8-2
