WASHINGTON, DC, 27 October 2018 — I participated in a terrific panel discussion with super impressive colleagues this morning. The event was sponsored by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, a leader in supporting journalists working overseas and filling the void left by mainstream media retreating from foreign news coverage. (You can watch the entire session at the above link.)
The discussion was part of a weekend program bringing together scores of journalists who have won Pulitzer Center fellowships to work overseas.
The Pulitzer Center is a leader among a small group of noon-profit organizations dedicated to supporting freelance foreign correspondents. American University’s School of Communication, my Foreign Correspondence course, and my FREELANCERS with Bill Gentile series have joined that group.
Please feel free to join us on Wednesday 14 November for a screening of the pilot episode of FREELANCERS at the Overseas Press Club in New York City. See https://opcofamerica.org/event/
