Finding and cultivating outlets for distribution of material is one of the greatest challenges that we video journalists face today. This piece is a longer, re-worked version of a similar story that I sold to a U.S. outlet a few months ago. I always advise younger colleagues to never sell permanent rights to their work, if possible. Sell rights for three months, or six months, but never permanently.
