WASHINGTON, DC, 15 October 2015 — This is my dining room. No food. Just pictures. A small part of the collection whose use I am donating to the library at American University. Nearly 40 years of visual history from Latin America, the Caribbean, the Persian Gulf, Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan, this week will become part of our library collection. And my wife, Esther Gentile, is sifting through and organizing it all. The images will be accessible — free of charge — to students, researchers and non-profits around the world.
