PARAMARIBO, Suriname, 7 May 2014 I went out with a group of students today to work on a photo essay of the citys port area. These are some of the participants.
Though only one of the students is practicing video journalism, I teach photojournalism as the foundation of the video and filmmaking craft. In photojournalism one learns many of the skills that I now use while making compelling documentaries. Its the foundation of the visual language.
